2022 TNA CALL
Following the postponement of the Transnational Access (TNA) programme for the last two years, ARIADNEplus is pleased to announce the resumption of TNA for 2022 with four summer schools:
- Data Stewardship – ADS, University of York, UK. Online on Wednesdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th May and 1st June 2022.
- Mapping Existing Datasets to CIDOC CRM – PIN Scrl., Prato, Tuscany, Italy. Monday 20th – Friday 24th June 2022.
- Visual Media for the Documentation of Fieldwork and Artefacts – CNR, Pisa, Italy. Monday 27th June – Friday 1st July 2022.
- Implementing Interoperability – CNR, Pisa, Italy. Monday 4th – Friday 8th July 2022.
These are planned as in-person courses (except Data Stewardship) which can revert to virtual events should travel for students become difficult.
The ARIADNEplus project invites researchers to apply to participate in the summer schools to carry forwards their own research. These opportunities are offered as part of ARIADNE’s Transnational Access (TNA) activities. The first call took place in September 2019 for placements in 2020, most of which subsequently had to be postponed. These summer schools enable ARIADNEplus to offer the most places possible before completion of the project at the end of this year.
The Call for Applications is open and closes at 23:59 Thursday 14th April 2022.
We will welcome applications from individuals with a scientific interest and ability to benefit from training in archaeological research data management. Read more information about how to apply.
Sponsorship is available up to 700 euros per participant (to cover the cost of travel and accommodation) plus a tuition fee waiver. Bursaries are awarded on a competitive basis, according to the procedure described in the application pack and eligibility criteria, and based upon the quality of the applicant, their proposed project, and their personal statement. Between 5-10 bursaries are available annually from ARIADNEplus for each TNA centre.
