The first call for Transnational Access closed on Saturday 12th October and in total, sixteen applications were received, equally divided between the training on CIDOC-CRM at PIN and for Data Stewardship at ADS. We have appointed three external reviewers who will soon begin to evaluate the applications so that the training places can be awarded and the successful candidates informed. The majority of the applications have come from organisations within ARIADNEplus but we are also pleased to have received six from elsewhere, including Turkey and Argentina. Overall, the standard of the proposed projects and applications has been very good and we can look forward to hearing about some interesting new projects from the trainees when they visit PIN and ADS in the first half of next year. The second call will open in January and will also include a summer workshop on Visual Media for the Documentation of Fieldwork and Artefacts at CNR, Pisa.
