The 5th call for proposals within the Europeana Research Grants Programme has been announced and is currently open for applications. The programme supports events that encourage collaborations between cultural heritage professionals and researchers and this year’s theme is: Crowdsourcing & Research – and that the video tutorials showcase the potential of digital cultural heritage in university teaching and learning.

The grants are intended for planning and organising:

  • Conferences
  • Workshops
  • Series of seminars
  • Summer/Autumn/Winter/Spring schools
  • Training activities.

Due to the pandemic, there was no call for proposals in 2020, and the currently open call was designed for events that will take place no earlier than the first semester of 2022. Europeana has allocated part of the programme’s budget (€ 25,000) to two special prizes that will support the creation of video tutorials for Higher Education.

The call for proposals reflects the input of the Europeana Research Advisory Board members, who will also contribute to the decision-making process leading to the final results.

You can find all the necessary information to apply on the call for submissions page on Europeana PRO. The deadline is 31 May 2021.
